TITLE 16—Public Health and Safety
16-10-010 Purpose and Applicability
The purpose of this chapter is to provide for the control of animals; to protect the health, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Colony and Reservation; and to protect the property and animals of the inhabitants of the Colony and Reservation from, damage and disease. The provisions of this Chapter 16-10 apply to animals of all types, except where otherwise stated.

There has been sightings of a larger than usual coyote on the reservation. Missing pet reports are also increasing. Please heed the Precautions / Warnings from the Nevada Fish and Game Department:

1-80-020 Who May Be a Representative
Any person appearing as a party in any judicial proceeding before a Court of the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe shall have the right to be represented by a Lay Counselor (not an Attorney) and to have such person assist in the preparation of his case so long as such representative is acceptable to and approved by the Tribal Court Judge.

Recently “gang tags” have been observed in our community. It is against the law, and perpetrators will be prosecuted to the full extent of Tribal and State law. The Fallon Business Council has declared the Fallon Paiute Shoshone Tribe is “NOT” a safe-haven sanctuary; and maintains a “zero tolerance” for gang and drug activity.
