Senior Fun Day announced for September 24, 2009

The Fallon Paiute Shoshone Tribe Senior Center will hold their annual “Senior Fun Day” on September 24, 2009 beginning at 10:00 am. The Senior Center will be hosting a great lunch, raffle drawings, door prizes and bingo games. The raffle tickets are on sale right now at $1 each or 6/$5. Plan to arrive early because the Senior Center is expecting a big crowd in 2009. For more information contact the Senior Center at (775) 423-7569.

Elected Members of Senior Committee Sworn In

The 2009 Senior Committee governing body officially sworn in by Chairman Alvin Moyle. The members are left to right: Ann Dixon, Member; Brenda Hicks, Vice-Chairman; Lenora “Dudie” Rogers, Treasurer; Merlyn Dixon, Chairman; Beverly Hicks, Member and Lillie Dyer Bright, Member.
Their first duty in office was to revise the committee bylaws.

Senior Center Election Results

The Senior Committee held their bi-annual elections on May 14, 2009 for the Stillwater Tribal Senior Committee. It is with great pride the Fallon Business Council and the community extends their congratulation to the 2009-2010 winners: Chairman Merlyn Dixon, Vice-Chairman Brenda Hicks, Treasurer Lenora “Dudie” Rogers, and members Lillie Dyer-Bright, Ann Dixon and Beverly Hicks. The Secretary position is vacant and will be appointed to serve the two year term.
