Vocational Rehabilitation Manager

The Vocational Rehabilitation Program Manager’s responsibilities include directing the development, planning, administering and implementation of a comprehensive Vocational Rehabilitation program to meet the needs of the clients. This includes the provision of services to persons with physical, mental, behavioral and other impairments. Coordinates program activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities and directing the work. Monitors and has responsibility for diagnostic and intake procedures. Maintains records, prepares reports. Coordinates vocational rehabilitation counseling activities by scheduling work assignments. Coordinates and supervises casework in accordance with the policies and guidelines of the Vocational Rehabilitation program. Gathers pertinent educational, social, medical, psychological and vocational information. Develops proposals for and administers grants/cooperative agreements/fee schedules. Must be able to establish and maintain good relations with various groups and organizations, news media and the Tribal community.
Must have an Associate of Arts (AA) degree from an accredited college or university in Human Services or related field with three (3) years working with people with disabilities along with supervisory experience required; or Bachelor’s Degree with a major in vocation rehabilitation or related field preferred.
Must pass a background check and pre-employment and ongoing random drug testing. Employees authorized to drive employer vehicle must possess a current valid Nevada driver’s license under the Tribe’s vehicle insurance program and acceptable driving record as determined by the Tribe’s insurance company. Preference will be given to qualified Indian applicants in accordance with 25 CFR. This is a full-time position that pays $17.24 – $20.59/hour. Open until filled, position contingent on awarded grant.
