DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Following the pertinent guidelines set forth in the "Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribal Enrollment Ordinance" and the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribal Settlement Fund's Plan for Investment, Management, Administration and Expenditure.

  • Following the guildelines set forth by the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribal Election Ordinance, and assist the Fallon Business Council's Secretary with the preparation of eligible Voters Lists for the Tribal Election Board.

  • Reviewing a variety of enrollment situations, and apprise the Enrollment CommitteE of the of the findings, such as: processing new enrollment applications, and dissenrollment appeals.

  • Providing monthly written reports to the Fallon Bussiness Coucil, via the Administrator.

  • Providing membership related services to members, as requested such as: membership cards, photograph ID cards, and applications for tax exemptions.

  • Maintaining current and accurate information utilizing the Bureau of Indian Affairs' Individual Indian Monies (IIM) and People Edit System.

  • Maintaining current and updated addresses for Nuhmuh News tribal newspaper.

  • Assisting as liaison with the U.S. Department of Census.

  • Assisting Tribal programs in developing new uses for the Tribes' Scannable identification cards.

  • Maintaining records related to cultural sites and cultural issues.

  • Assisting the Fallon Business Coucil in maintaining n archive of records, photos, and maps retrieved from such resources as the U.S. Archives and Records agency.

The Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribal Membership demographics are now 991, as March 31, 2001. The Enrolled tribal members are located through out the United States of America, except for Hawaii.
