CLEANING TECHNICIAN

Performs sanitizing duties and some custodial duties as needed to assure that the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe and its Departments maintain a safe and sanitary environment for personnel and visitors. Sanitize and Disinfect Departments, break rooms and rest rooms in a sanitary and orderly condition. Sweeps, mops, sanitizes furniture, equipment, and fixtures. Collects and removes all waste paper and trash. Washes and sanitizes walls, windows, door handles, mirrors, light fixtures, toilets, wash bowls and urinals. Replenishes towels, tissues, sanitizing stations, and other restroom supplies. Maintains cleaning and disinfecting supplies and places them in proper location. Maintains an orderly, safe and sanitary environment for all personnel and visitors. Replenish PPE, such as masks, gloves, cleaning and disinfecting supplies for Departments for self-cleaning. Maintains confidentiality. Disposes of waste properly. Other job related duties as assigned by the supervisor. QUALIFICATION: Training in Safety, Sanitizing and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); Training will be provided. Must be able to perform all duties, regularly lift 40 pounds. Must be able to work with American Indian people on an individual and group basis. Ability to learn the methods and use the materials, and equipment ordinarily used in cleaning to assure that the Department is safe, clean and sanitary. Knowledge of universal precautions, personal protective equipment, and disposal of waste. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the Tribes insurance. Preference given to qualified Tribal and Indian applicants in accordance with 25 CFR.
