POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position will perform a variety of clerical, some accounting work and will perform other related work as required for the Tax and TERO Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with Annual Business License Renewals.
- Perform a variety of clerical and accounting duties and processing Tax Returns.
- Process Tax and TERO payments according to the Tribes Financial management policies.
- Assist clients with available TERO Services.
- Successfully complete necessary certifications provided by the Internal Revenue Service for completing and processing Federal Tax Returns.
- Review Tax Returns for accuracy to ensure there are no errors.
- Answer Phones, schedule Appointments, when necessary.
- Contact taxpayers, when necessary.
- Assist Taxpayers and TERO Clients.
- Draft Letters when necessary for Tax and TERO.
- Assist with planning and organizing of the Summer Youth Employment Program.
- Other job related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or GED
- Strong computer skills required.
- Knowledge of principles and practices of accounting, finance or Tax Preparation experience, preferred.
- Must be accurate in data entry.
- Must have great customer service skills with high regard for confidentiality.
- Skills in maintaining confidential records, reports and files.
- Must be capable of calculating payments for Tax and TERO Revenue.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have some Accounting, Finance or Tax Preparation experience.
- Must have experience in an office setting performing basic office duties answering phones and customer service.
