Tribal Administrator

The Tribal Administrator is responsible for the daily operations of assigned Tribal Departments and programs, including all contracts and grants services, as directed by the authority of the Fallon Business Council and under day-to-day supervision of the Tribal Chairman.  The Tribal Administrator works under direction of the Chairman to carry out the goals and objectives of the Fallon Business Council (FBC), which governs the Fallon Paiute-Shoshone Tribe.  The Tribal Administrator performs his/her duties and responsibilities in recognition that the FBC is the final authority for the Tribe and works within their direction and guidance, as well as in compliance with Tribal laws and Tribal policies.  He/she has the overall responsibility of overseeing all Tribal departments and programs.  Bachelor degree in Business or Public Administration or a related degree with four (4) years of successful work experience as an administrator or in a position of equal responsibility; or associate degree in business or public administration or a related degree with six (6) years of successful work experience as an administrator or in a position equal responsibility; or a minimum of eight (8) years in an administrator level capacity and/or combination of education, training, and experience in community development, business management, supervision, and administration.  Must pass a background check and pre-employment and on-going random drug testing, employees authorized to drive employer vehicle must possess a current valid Nevada driver’s license and acceptable driving record as determined by the Tribe’s insurance company. Preference given to qualified Tribal and Indian applicants in accordance with 25 CFR. This is an exempt position and pays $35.03 – $41.82 hourly. Closes September 18, 2020 at 5:00 pm.
